About the Fraternal Order of Eagles

Uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality since 1898

Our Rich History

The Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded on February 6, 1898, in Seattle, Washington, by a group of six theater owners who were gathered to discuss a musicians' strike. The meeting was called to order by John Cort, who suggested they form a new organization.

The Eagles have grown to become one of the leading fraternal organizations in the world, with nearly 800,000 members and over 1,500 locations across the United States and Canada.

Our Huron Aerie 2875 has been proudly serving the local community for decades, carrying on the traditions of fellowship, charity, and civic responsibility that define the Eagles.
